This place is pretty rad. Drinks are cheap, the beer selection is plentiful, the bartenders were cool, and the music (Mike Halat) was awesome. Our party of eight had a great time. This is definitely the place to be in downtown Ocean Springs.

Came to Ocean Springs on a day trip from New Orleans. I really liked the atmosphere a lot. Service wAs not so great. Once we finally ordered, the food did come out quickly. We ordered four tapas - humus, beef enchilada, lompia's and roasted peppers on a crostini. Three of the four were great the roasted peppers however were terrible. The mojito was just so so. The worst part of our experience was having the children of the owner running around and wreaking havoc. We even mentioned that we would have preferred the non children section but that did not seem to help. At one point the sassy girl smeared at us "my daddy is the owner and I can do whatever I want". If I were at chuck e cheese it would be one thing but when I am spending $60 on lunch I would like to not have children behaving badly while I eat.

We had the most delicious fish tacos and craft cocktails. The mahi-mahi in the tacos was perfectly done, and the sauces and fresh vegetables brought it to the next level. We had fresh fruit mojitos. And before you roll your eyes and envision a high fructose umbrella drink, let me disabuse you of that notion! This was a traditional Hemmingway mojito with your choice of fresh raw fruit muddled with the mint. Mine was raspberry, and it brought the perfect amount of sour into that Key West cocktail.

Mosaic's patio area was the perfect spot to enjoy lunch with the staff on a beautiful spring day. The food was delicious and the service was great.

This place is WEIRD. HOT and weird. Physically HOT. I was sweating. I met some friends here while I was back home for drinks. I waited at our table for a while and finally a friend and I got up and just walked to the beer house and tried to see what they had. Not living in the area, I couldn't make out the tap markers. Also, the bar was packed and couldn't really get the bartenders attention. We go back to the table. The waitress comes by. I asked if they had a beer list, no. She asked what I liked. I said I'd like a pilsner. She offered me Bud Light. I laughed. I asked her if she knew the beers they had, she told me I could walk to the bar and look. I'm fully aware of my walking capabilities but you should probably know what you're serving. Just throwing that out there. Finally, we walk to the bar and after much trial and tribulation, I got a beer my friends make. I didn't really want it though because it's a heavy beer and did I mention It was hot? Our table of probably 8-10 people had been hanging out for quite some time and a bartender came out of the kitchen and nearly hit the dude at the end of the table. After being there HOURS she finds it time to tell him/us that we need to move 'out of the way'. He was all "I'm fine" and she was adamant about us moving. To the point of seeming livid. One of my friends never got her food. We had to ask about it about 30-45 minutes after everyone else got theirs. Needless to say, these folks seem to have no inkling of an idea of what they're doing. Unless giving terrible customer service is their motto.

Wasn't quite sure what to make of my experience at this 'tapas' spot. While I was definitely pleased with the vast beer selection, the menu items I selected left something to the imagination. The falafels were definitely subpar, reminiscent of an out of the box variety. The samosas and tuna my counterpart order were on the tastier side. Some floor boards are coming apart and the presence of hookah use in the eating area was strange to me. May consider giving it a second try once I've run out of restaurant options for the area.

The owners are the nicest people you'll ever meet! The first Friday of every month is Latin Night, and you can always see the owners dancing on the floor (they're really good at dancing) The food is good, ASK if the Hummus is maid by Gabe. He's the best. I also like all their burgers, juicy and delicious (large enough to share) Blueberry lemondrop martini and the mango&strawberry mojito are SUPURB!!

Nice place. The patio is nice outside for lunch and some drinks. The staff was nice and the food was good. I recommend the humus and the Argentinian empanadas.

The drinks are pretty good here! Get the blueberry martini. It's delicious. The service was pretty good too. We sat at the bar two days in a row, and the bartenders were super awesome. Probably helped that we spent a lot of money on drinks both days. We also came around 6pm when it wasn't that busy at all. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but the food wasn't all that good. There isn't much filipino food in the gulf coast so I give them kudos for actually having lumpia on the menu. The lumpia needed to be fried a little longer, it kinda looked raw still. I'll stick to making my own lumpia at home, and just come to mosaics for martinis.

Strike 1) Ignored at the tap bar. Strike 2) no Churassco beef, a main dish on the menu Strike 3) no pulled pork sandwiches. Strike 4) were out of the beer I did choose Strike 5) band doing those stupid " Check one two" over the mic. Had enought walked out.

Service was good but the hookah was terrible! They use an unknown brand that is cheap and charge a lot for it. If they used better quality sheesha then it would be worth it. I worked at a hookah bar before so I would consider myself a "hookah snob" and I guarantee I will never go back there. The seating was nice and comfortable. The music in there was great! It played some oldies, up beat music.

I like the atmosphere, the drinks are good. However, be careful about the foods you order. I ordered lumpia. I thought it tasted odd so I looked at the other half of it in my hand and it was raw inside. The meat was raw!!!!! I showed my server. She said she will check with the manager. She came back and apologized. But they cant do anything because they only cook them food here. They dont make them. ??!!! The only thing you do is to fry them and you cant even do it right! I had to pay for the raw lumpia too. :(

Pre shift snack. Got the pilbi pork & the calamari. Wasn't bad. Got it pretty quick. Pork was tasty & not over cooked. The calamari however was like little rubber bands. Not fun.

Look at the pretty strings of lights outside? Isn't it romantic? I really wanted to sit outside but my friend is afraid of the heat so we opted to sit inside. The atmosphere is less inspiring but they did play good music, from Spanish to rock. The beer we ordered tasted weird and our server was nice about replacing it. Hookah was good. She changed the coal for us once and I was smoking my brains out. Friendly service and she even ran out to get me as I forgot my credit card. Thank you!!

Great beer and tapas! Closest thing to Latino food east of the Colorado. I've had several of their tapas and drinks. Even though it was busy for St. Patrick's day, we still had good service.

The beer was good but my calamari was from a frozen box from Walmart...awful to say the least and the service needs improving. We never saw a waiter or waitress again after the food came and had to find someone to pay our tab. Could have walked out and no one would have known.

We always have a great time here and really enjoy the hookahs. Just wish the music inside wasn't so loud and had more variety to it. Also, when it gets busy it could take a while to get your order. The food is awesome though!

Had an outing there last evening.....first time to experience this restaurant. Overall was really impressed with tapas....had the yummy Asparagus, tuna, and Asian roll selections, they were awesome. Not really into hookah, so cannot comment about that. Tends to be a military/college hangout on Saturday evenings. Will definitely go back. Service was good even on a busy Saturday evening.

Just visiting downtown Ocean Springs to check it out and stopped at Mosaics. It's colorful and comfy on the inside. I ordered the red sangria which was very very good. I also ordered the Arabic empanadas which were also great. I would definitely come back for a night out!

Like most everything in downtown Ocean Springs, Mosaics is the complete opposite of the stereotypical Mississippi restaurant. It has hookah, it has tasteful wall hangings, it has fruity drinks, and it has tapas. When I first tried this place last year, I thought it was the most amazing place to eat in all of the gulf coast. I wish I could have eaten here every night. That all changed last night. After going here about half a dozen times over the past year, I noticed they had a habit of changing their decor and seating arrangements. I was even surprised to see they had a big projector screen with ESPN on their mini~stage where musicians play on the weekends. For our group of four, we had our choice of high tables by the front windows or low lying booths with throw pillows. We chose the former table. Seated and ready to see the new and improved menu, I recommended the tuna to my novice coworkers. To our disappointment, they were out of tuna. The menu was new but downgraded. Their options for tapas were about half the usual offering. I suspect a change in management since I last came here earlier in the summer and quite possibly a loss in revenues. In any case, I took away a star because of this. I resorted to the favored fish tacos and the newbie potato skins. The tacos were fine, but the potatos were boring and not what I would expect for an innovative tapas bar. The 2 for 1 drink special was more like a '1.5 for 1' special. My red sangria was $7 but they ended up charging $10 for two. Very misleading advertising.

The service is flat-out terrible; by far the worst, this side of France. The food is yummy. I encourage the place to hire friendly and helpful waiters.

Frankie B.
The atmosphere of the place is great, but the food wasn't supremely spectacular for the pricing based on quantity, uniqueness, etc. and this was over the course of several visits. Don't get me wrong, if you're in the area doing a bit of a bar crawl it isn't bad, but you would want to pick a diff spot for the app/food portion of your evening.

My husband and I went to Ocean Springs to check out the town yesterday and stopped in at this tiny tapas place. We love tapas and were nervous about having tapas in Mississippi. I am so glad we took the chance, it was delish!! We had white sangria (middle of the day, red seemed like too much!) that was garnished with a slice of fresh peach, and a tapa called tinga. Chipotle chicken in a juicy broth, but it wasn't soupy in the slightest. The chicken was topped with a dollop of sour cream and some pureed chipotle and then served with toasted bread on the side. I had a seared ahi salad with sesame dressing and garnished with this pico de gallo that was so interesting! It seemed as if it was seasoned with coriander, which I haven't tried before. My husband had a buffalo chicken sandwich. I had a bite... I wish I could have had half. The chicken was seasoned with buffalo spices, it wasn't messy, and was served with fresh fries. The food took awhile to come out, but it was totally worth it. The ambiance was great, Stevie Wonder hits played the entire time, and the chef came out to say hello at the end. What a great trip to Ocean Springs. I wish I lived there!

If you're a non-smoker, don't be put off that Mosaic Tapas Bar also offers hookah. The smoke from the hookahs has a pleasant odor and does not at all make the atmosphere "smoky". The tapas that we ordered was delicious. As for the comment by another yelper that the portions are small, tapas is by definition, small plates. They also offer sandwiches and paella, though we stuck with tapas. Try the Pibil pork served with blue corn chips. The skewered potatoes, though not what we expected were potatoes cut on a mandolin, fried, but not crisp. Pull them off the skewer and dip into the raspberry ketchup which comes with it--fantastic! Overall, the sauces for each offering were tasty. The only exception was the shrimp that was served on a crostini with sauce over the top. A bit too over-sauced for our taste. In my opinion, the prices were reasonable. Two of us ordered six plates, three drinks, plus coke and refills with delectable churros for dessert and the bill was $80.
